Chapter 8: Rachel and Meg

     Rachel Herndon went to Ma's Cafe, a local greasy spoon in Potato Hill, for some of Ma's famous "roadkill chili."  Ma was big, her wate and fate was probably 300 pounds and a coronary by age sixty-five.  Meg "Ma" Hansen was gruff but could often be genial.
